Headteacher Leadership Meetings |
Audience : all schools Just a reminder that the secondary event takes place on Monday. As you will be aware, in recent times the NYCC Headteacher Leadership meetings have encompassed both primary and secondary colleagues, however, given the nature of the specific secondary challenges over this term, we have amended the format of the meetings to facilitate a specific secondary Head’s meeting on Monday 26 April 2021 09:30 – 11:30. We are really keen that this meeting provides an opportunity for secondary Head’s to come together (virtually) and share good practice, learning from each other and enhancing the quality of provision across the county. As part of this approach, two serving practitioners have very kindly offered to share the approach their school / Trust has taken around the key issues of the awarding of qualifications and summer schools.
We very much hope that you are able join us for this meeting, providing an opportunity for collaboration and discussion around these critical issues with peers and the Local Authority.
The link to sign up for the meeting can be found here: Headteacher Leadership Meeting for Secondary, Special and PRS Schools | North Yorkshire Education Services (nyestraining.co.uk)
Primary Leadership event

Records of Visit accessed via Perspective Lite |
Audience : All maintained schools The school improvement team have been reviewing the way that their records of visit are accessed and approved by schools and settings. From the 12th April, you may notice a difference in the way that you are alerted to a new record of visit for your school. For school improvement records, you will be sent an email providing you with the option to review the report and either accept it as accurate or return as inaccurate if you feel there is anything in the report that is not correct. For these reports, schools will be offered a 10-day window to respond to report an inaccuracy, before the record of visit is automatically finalised. For other reports such as subject specific ones, as previously, there is no need to review the accuracy of the report although you may now access the report in a slightly different way if you have previously been accessing reports via an attachment. In most cases, you will see a change in the format of your reports. Please contact julie.pattison@northyorks.gov.uk for more information or guidance or if you would like to provide feedback on the new system. |
