Job summary
As
a children and Young People's (CYP) Project Support Officer you will provide a
key supporting role across a range of strategic projects for children and young
people's social and emotional health on behalf of the NY Clinical Comissioning
Group (NYCCG) and North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC). This is an exciting
opportunity to work collaboratively, establishing strong partnerships across a
range of organisations including NHS Trusts, North Yorkshire County Council,
Education settings, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and voluntary sector
organisations with a key focus on children and young people's social and
emotional health. The post will be jointly managed by North Yorkshire County
Council Inclusion Team and NYCCG
Children and Young People's Commissioning Team.
Main duties of the job
The Project Support Officer will:
Work collaboratively to improve
pathways of support for social, emotional and mental health support available
for children and young people across North Yorkshire and ensure effective
communication of these pathways to all key stakeholders (e.g., CYP, families,
schools, providers).
Establish positive and productive
relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure an
integrated approach to social and emotional mental health across North
Yorkshire.
Assist with the development and
delivery of communication and engagement strategies, plans or campaigns in
relation to social and emotional health for CYP through a range of
communication disciplines such as media and external communications, social
media, marketing and brand development.
Manage and support the timeliness of project plans,
preparing reports and presentations and escalating issues as required.

Job responsibilities
The Project Support Officers
functions will include (but not be limited to):
Lead specific
projects and defined pieces of work with minimal supervision
Lead the delivery of
the joint NYCCG and NYCC project to improve pathways and communications for
social and emotional mental health support available across North Yorkshire.
Contribute to the
re-design of pathways including referral routes, screening tools and threshold
guidance.
Support the delivery
of the Anna Freud Link programme
Lead task and finish
groups as identified by the Social and Emotional Mental Health Strategic group
for children and young people.
Develop and
implement project plans, exception plans, action logs and maintain risk logs.
Schedule, plan and
record key work-stream meetings, following agreed processes for reporting,
escalating and responding to changing project priorities.
Communicate with key
stakeholders both internal and external to the CCG and NYCC for programme areas
to enhance engagement with individual projects and to influence buy-in.
Identify and
mitigate areas of risks or barriers to delivering the project/s.
Monitor progress and
exercise judgement, through monitoring
milestones; determining RAG status based on analysis of a range of information;
assessing options in detail to unblock barriers; clarifying discrepancies and
escalating complex issues or situations.
Keeping project and
programme information systems up-to-date.
Undertake any
additional duties appropriate to the post, as may be required by the service
and as delegated by the line manager.
The
Children & Young People’s Team works at pace and the post holder will be
required to prioritise and re-prioritise tasks as appropriate.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree level qualification or relevant experience in a project support role
- Proven track record of delivering projects
- Significant administrative / project support / performance /commissioning support previous experience
- Understanding of other communication disciplines such as media and external communications, social media, marketing and brand development
Desirable
- Knowledge of project management and change management methodologies.
- Knowledge of PRINCE II
- PRINCE II qualification
- MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) qualification
