Activity Description
Individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and/or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) include some of the most talented thinkers in society. The opposite observation might be made when those individuals are undergraduate students in a classroom. In this workshop, participants will learn how their classroom environment might affect the performance of students gifted with LD/ADHD. As someone with ADHD, I will explain how LD/ADHD manifests in college and present examples from my own experience as a student and instructor. Activities: case studies, self-evaluations, and group discussions that revolve around teaching undergraduate students with LD/ADHD.
