Biography

The pianist Matan Fishov captivates audiences with his virtuosity, lyricism, and interpretive sensitivity. As an experienced recital pianist, Fishov showcases his colorful musical personality and his interesting Interpretation in pieces from any period in solo recitals.

 

Fishov was born in 1993 in Israel. He received his first piano lessons at the age of 13 and made rapid progress after he became a student of Mrs. Eva Malkin, and a few years later with Prof. Jonathan Zak. He completed his Bachelor study at the Buchmann Mehta School of Music in Tel-Aviv University, Israel and these days he is doing a master's degree at the academy for music and theater Mendelssogn Bartholdy in Leipzig, Germany.

In recent years he has been performing extensively across his birth country as a soloist pianist over than 200 recitals. Fishov played in the “Felicja Blumental Music Center”,  “Rishon Lezion Culture hall”, "Shtriker" Conservatory.  “Kol Hamusica”, International Music Radio Station, broadcasted his recitals from the Felicja Blumental Music Center.

Fishov has performed in Europe and Asia and his highlights in season 2017/2018 included solo performances at “Alion Baltic Festival” and "Kadrioru" palace in Tallinn (Estonia) ; "European Museum of Modern Art" in Barcelona (Spain) ; "India Habitat Center" and "India International Center" in New-Delhi (India) ; "B&M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music in Athens" (Greece) and in Germany.
